#COVID-19 Wedding Updates

Dear Friends and Family

We are looking forward to celebrating with you at our wedding on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Sterling Stables in Cocoa, FL. Given the times we are living in, we wanted to share important safety protocols we will be following during the event. You and our wedding vendors’ health and safety are our #1 priority.

If you are unable to follow these protocols, which were created with CDC guidelines and local and state ordinances at the forefront of our minds, we ask that you reconsider attending the in-person event (we will be providing a LiveStream so you can watch the proceedings virtually). We ask that you please take the time to read this message carefully and reach out to us with any questions.

If you feel sick or are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough, or loss of smell and taste on the day of the wedding, please stay home and enjoy the wedding LiveStream.

Livestream: Can’t make it to the wedding in person? No worries! We will be live-streaming the ceremony for loved ones who cannot attend. Please check the website regularly for the link for the LiveStream page.

Guest Count: We are expecting possibly 150 guests or less, which aligns with local and state ordinances and our venue’s capacity restrictions. This number will ebb and flow, so don’t quote us on this exact number!

Venue: Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors, the cocktail hour will take place outdoors and the reception will take place indoors.

Masks: We are requiring mask use for guests when they are not eating or drinking. All of our on-site wedding vendors will be wearing masks as well. If you do not have a mask, we have disposable ones at our sanitation station at the front of the premises.

Social Distancing: Please stay at least six feet away from guests who do not live in your household. We will be spacing out ceremony seating and reception tables at least six feet apart and requiring guests to sit with their household or group only.

Table Assignments: We are asking that our guests sit only with the groups that they know to reduce the risk of COVID-19, i.e. respective households, coworkers, etc.

Cards and Gifts: Your presence is present enough! But should you choose to bring a gift to the wedding, there will be a table set up where you can leave your items, rather than handing them to us directly.

Food and Drink Service: We will be hiring servers at our buffet table to take care of your food. Each server will be wearing gloves and masks to give you your food. We will also have an open bar for our guests, and a hand sanitizer will be stationed at the bar for you.

Hand Sanitizer: We will provide hand sanitizer to each guest and offer sanitizing stations in several areas of the venue. Please practice good hand hygiene after touching surfaces and feel free to bring your own hand sanitizer if desired.

Postponement Information:There is a possibility that due to increased case count and changing local restrictions that we will have to postpone our event. We are making every effort to finalize our plans by March 1st and will let you know at this time if things are moving forward as scheduled.

We know this is a lot of information to digest, and we appreciate you taking the time to read through this note. Although our wedding may not look like others you’ve attended in the past, we still hope that it will be a joyous and celebratory event. Please feel free to reach out to us via email at [email protected] or text at (949) 214-9463 (Daj) and (310) 431-7927 (Chuk) with any questions. If you are also planning on attending, please fill out the Google form on our website or text us at our respective numbers.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and we look forward to seeing you (masked up!) on June 5th.

Love, Chukwudubem & Daja
